About the role
- Maintain edible landscapes, gardens, and orchards
- Plant, harvest, mulch, weed, and care for seasonal crops
- Maintain multipule garden locations
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and watering schedules
- Perform fruit tree care and pruning
- Assist with propagation, transplanting, soil preparation
- Harvest produce and assist with distribution
- Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment
- Assist with installation of new edible landscape projects
- Track materials and maintain organized inventory
- Take clear notes and communicate client requests effectively
- Pick up and transport plants, tools, and related materials as needed
- Help maintain the company garden for seasonal productivity
- Water and care for plants and starters
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized company vehicle
- Background in agriculture, horticulture, land management, or relevant hands-on experience
- Managing or maintaining multiple crop or garden sites preferred
- Knowledge of soil health, companion planting, irrigation, seasonal planting practices, pruning, and fruit tree health
- Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to regularly lift 40+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Adaptable, organized, and capable of managing changing priorities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Verifiable work experience with strong references
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (Form I-9 compliance)
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Competitive hourly pay: $20–$30/hour, depending on experience
