About the role
Description:
Kforce's client in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Director Communications - Products and Experiences to lead and execute strategic internal and external communications initiatives for a global consumer products and experiences organization. This Director-level role will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving proactive and reactive communications strategies that elevate brand visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support key business priorities. This role is onsite in LA, however candidates in NYC may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated global communications campaigns across consumer, trade, business, and entertainment media* Identify and secure media opportunities to amplify consumer products, licensing, live experiences, hospitality, and franchise-related initiatives* Manage communications surrounding industry events, trade shows, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and media opportunities* Draft press releases, executive messaging, media pitches, briefing materials, and internal communications* Build and execute internal communications strategies that keep teams informed, connected, and engaged* Serve as a strategic communications partner to cross-functional stakeholders and business leaders* Act as the primary point of contact for assigned communications projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across teams* Manage media relationships, press outreach, and maintain targeted media lists* Provide proactive communications planning and reactive issue management support* Oversee communications initiatives from concept through execution while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required* 10+ years of communications, publicity, public relations, or corporate communications experience* Proven experience developing and executing consumer, trade, and business media strategies* Strong existing relationships with consumer, lifestyle, entertainment, licensing, and business press* Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills* Experience leading complex communications projects from strategy through execution* Executive presence and ability to effectively engage with senior leaders and external partners* Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and issue management skills* Demonstrated ability to manage both proactive communications planning and reactive communications support* Experience supporting consumer products, licensing, retail, hospitality, theme parks, live experiences, consumer packaged goods, or related industries* Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail* Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
Preferred Experience:
- Consumer products or experiences communications within major entertainment, retail, hospitality, attractions, or licensing organizations* Experience supporting trade shows, licensing events, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand activations* Background with organizations focused on consumer products, theme parks, hotels, live experiences, licensing, or similar business lines Job Type ContractCompensation84 - $90
