Reinforce program techniques and ensure students apply classroom theory to patient care safely and effectively. Maintain current clinical practice and stay informed of changes in the respiratory therapy field.
Minimum Requirements: Associate degree from an accredited institution. Graduation from a CHEA or USDE-recognized accredited Respiratory Therapy program OR minimum 4 years of job-related Respiratory Therapy training and experience. Minimum 3 years of practical experience in hospital or clinical Respiratory Therapy. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Professionals with advanced degrees in related fields (physicians, pharmacists, nurses, pulmonary function technologists) may qualify under CoARC 2.13.
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive Pay: $31.00 – $38.75 per hour.
Schedule: 16 hours per week, day shift — no nights or weekends. Employee Discount Programs. Pima Medical Institute is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
