We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Production & Prototyping Manager to support our manufacturing operations and product development initiatives.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Production & Prototyping Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and engineering/design teams to oversee daily manufacturing operations, improve production efficiency, and lead prototype development efforts. This role requires furniture manufacturing knowledge, strong leadership skills, and hands-on prototyping experience. There is opportunity of growth for this position, as well as production based incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Coordinate workflow between production, engineering, design, and quality teams. Oversee the development, construction, testing, and refinement of furniture prototypes. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Support training and development of production personnel.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, upholstery, or related production environments. Minimum 3 years of supervisory or production leadership experience. Prototyping experience is mandatory, including development and refinement of furniture products from concept through production. Strong knowledge of furniture construction methods, materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
