Underwriting Supervisor The Underwriting Supervisor directly oversees specific product processes and procedures that align with our business goals in the Healthcare Vertical. Key aspects of this role involve ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with underwriting and product standards. Communicates to the team management the challenges, progress toward goals, maintenance, and oversight of product initiatives.
Responsibilities: Manage daily product workflow including task distribution and escalations. Supervise, train, and mentor emerging team members, provide feedback, and manage product efficiencies and results Identify, analyze, and resolve issues or complications related to the processes and procedures. Provide direction and approval to team members while adhering to underwriting and product standards. Track and maintain desired outcomes and ensure quality of work being completed. Be willing and able to jump in and complete service work to support the region as needed.
Qualifications Required: 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience in Healthcare, Worker's Compensation, Businessowners or Commercial General Liability policies. Bachelor's degree or equivalent High integrity and outstanding work ethic required Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, management, and agents.
Preferred: CPCU or CIC designation Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Economics or Finance preferred Strong understanding of workers' compensation insurance
