Job Description: Job Description Accel Group, Inc. is a leader in the custom retail store fixture and display industry. We are seeking a person to fill the position of CAD Detailer. The CAD Detailer is a professional, hands-on, experienced individual who has an integral role on the engineering team. The CAD Detailer drives projects from start to finish, conducts site surveys for permanent installs, drafts and sketches layouts to convert into CAD prints, floor plans, elevations, electrical setup prints, networking/data setup prints, and shop-ready close-up prints. This position requires strong technical, organizational and communication skills to develop clear, concise drawings for installation and construction. The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, sales, project management, and purchasing personnel on a daily basis.
Skills and Qualifications: The candidate should possess a visual 3D mindset, be well versed in using construction prints, detailed assemblies, and 3D/isometrics, and must be able to convey verbal assembly instructions. Minimum High School Diploma with a Certificate/Degree related to computer aided drafting/design 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing and project engineering settings preferred Proficient 2D and 3D modeling skills utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor Experience in CNC Programming a plus Must possess expert knowledge within CAD drawings related to: Layer management and usage Drawing scales as they relate to text, dimensions, lines, viewpoints, etc. Cross-sections and profiles Drafting, dimensioning, and manufacturing processes Candidates must have these qualifications: Time management skills Must apply attention to detail and have the ability to learn quickly Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Ability to listen and interpret directions Available to work overtime as needed
