This role is heavily focused on IBM MQ and Kafka, along with other messaging technologies, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability. This role requires strong expertise in messaging platforms, incident management, automation, and enterprise infrastructure support, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMessaging Platform SupportSupport IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ) and Kafka environmentsManage queues, topics, brokers, and message flowsEnsure high availability and system reliabilityIncident ManagementPerform L2/L3 production supportTroubleshoot messaging failures and system issuesConduct root cause analysis and implement preventive solutionsSystem Performance & OptimizationMonitor and tune messaging systems for performanceOptimize throughput and reduce latencyPlatform AdministrationConfigure and maintain MQ, Kafka, Solace environmentsSupport deployments, upgrades, and patchingCollaborationWork with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teamsSupport enterprise integrations and cross-platform communicationDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain operational documentation and runbooksFollow enterprise policies, standards, and compliance requirementsMust-Have Qualifications7+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience5+ years of hands-on experience with Messaging platformsStrong experience with IBM MQ (Required)Strong experience with Kafka (Required)Experience with at least 23 messaging platforms (MQ, Kafka, Solace, Message Broker)Strong production support / L2-L3 experienceExperience supporting enterprise, highly available environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with IBM Message Broker / ACE / IIBExperience with SolaceAutomation experience (Ansible, Udeploy)Linux / Unix platform experienceCore CompetenciesMessaging platform engineeringProduction support & troubleshootingIncident managementPerformance tuningCommunication and collaborationWork EnvironmentEnterprise IT Infrastructure environmentHigh-availability production systemsHybrid work model (3 days onsite)Additional RequirementsMust be eligible to work in the USMust be flexible for on-call rotationStrong communication and problem-solving skills
