About the role
Are you looking to grow your career in purchasing, supply chain, and production planning? We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join a manufacturing team in Fort Atkinson. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, inventory, scheduling, or manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced production environment.-Location: Fort Atkinson, WI-Pay: $24-$28/hr-Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMResponsibilities Review ERP/MRP data to create purchase orders, obtain supplier quotes, and monitor material availability. Maintain supplier information, pricing, lead times, and inventory data within the ERP system. Monitor supplier performance and assist in resolving shortages, late deliveries, and other supply chain challenges. Support inventory control, sourcing initiatives, cost reduction efforts, and purchasing KPI reporting. Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to support on-time delivery goals. Monitor material availability and production constraints, adjusting schedules as needed to meet customer requirements. Assist with continuous improvement efforts to optimize purchasing and planning processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.2+ years of experience in purchasing, scheduling, inventory control, production planning, or manufacturing. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Manufacturing experience preferred.
