About the role

ITC Tax Integrity * Tenacity * Clarity Industrial and Commercial Property Tax Experts Senior Property Tax Manager - Houston / Austin / Dallas
Who we are: ITC Tax is the property tax partner for capital-intensive companies with complex, high-stakes properties. We proactively represent energy and midstream, power generation and renewables, chemicals and refining, cement and aggregates, steel and pipe, semiconductors, data centers, manufacturing and all other industrial and commercial property types. We have grown a national footprint without losing our local expertise. Our team includes former county appraisers, Big 4 alumni, CPAs, and CMIs. We focus on delivering measurable results and helping our clients gain the tax advantage they need to compete and succeed in their industry.
The Role: We're looking for a driven and experienced Senior Property Tax Manager to lead engagements for our most complex industrial and high-tech clients across the full annual tax cycle, from compliance and valuation through appeals and negotiated values. You'll maintain client relationships, set appeal strategies, and mentor and guide our Consultants and Analysts.
What you'll do: Mange client portfolios end to end. Assess appeal viability using the cost, income, sales-comparison, and equity approaches, and quantify the physical, functional, and economic obsolescence that mass appraisal methodology does not address. Lead appeals through every level, from informal negotiations to appraisal review boards and, where warranted, litigation and binding arbitration, coordinating outside counsel and third-party appraisers. Correctly separate real property, business personal property, and intangibles or enterprise value, especially on data centers, semiconductor fabs, wafer, and process plants where knowledge and expertise matters. Oversee accurate, defensible compliance filings across all applicable states. Support client budgeting, forecasting, and accruals, and deliver executive-ready analyses of exposures and opportunities. Develop new business, expand existing engagements, and represent ITC Tax at client meetings and site inspections. Review staff work, mentor the team, and demonstrate leadership.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field. 6+ years of progressive property tax consulting or appraisal experience with documented savings and appeal track record. Property Tax License or ability to obtain it promptly. Deep multi-state and complex-industrial valuation expertise. Proficiency with property tax compliance and management platforms such as PTMS, ONESOURCE Property Tax, or comparable systems, plus advanced Excel. Proven client-relationship, business-development, and team-leadership skills. Ability to travel to client sites, appraisal districts, and hearings as required.
Preferred Qualifications: CMI (Property Tax) designation, or active candidacy. CPA, JD, MBA Direct experience with industrial or commercial properties, especially data centers, semiconductors, power generation or process plants, or midstream assets.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary plus a performance bonus and business-development commission. Hybrid Work Schedule. Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. 401(k) with 4% company match. Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Generous PTO and Holidays. ITC pays for your license, continuing education, and IPT/CMI path. ITC Tax is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Flexible work from home options available.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
