About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of an organization seeking a senior private-service leader to serve as the Founding Managing Director of Residences in the New York market. This is a unique opportunity to help build a new market from the ground up while overseeing residential operations and developing a best-in-class local team and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Residential Leadership: Oversee the organization’s first residences in the New York market, ensuring a high standard of service and operational excellence. Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships with families, advisors, and local partners. Operations & Standards: Develop a best-in-class vendor network, operating standards, and residential infrastructure. Team Building: Recruit, develop, and lead the local team from the ground up. Projects & Operations: Oversee residential operations, renovations, and capital projects.
What We Are Looking For: Senior Estate Manager, Family Office Estate Director, luxury residential operator, or private-service leader with significant residential operations experience. Hospitality-first approach with a strong service mindset. Highly discreet, operationally strong, and entrepreneurial. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn the trust of principals and families. Comfortable balancing high-level leadership with the hands-on realities of managing complex residences. Demonstrated ability to build teams, systems, vendor relationships, and operating standards from the ground up. Compensation$300K target total: $150K base + $150K bonus + equity This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality-minded private-service leader who is ready to build something from the ground up and take on a true leadership role in a growing market.
