About the role
Overview:
Jaunty is looking for a Sales Executive to manage our accounts in the Hudson Valley territory, which stretches from the Bronx up to Dutchess County. In this field-based role, you’ll spend most of your time visiting dispensaries to build key relationships, win shelf space, and drive product sales. While you'll collaborate closely with sales teammates, distribution, and field marketing, you’ll have full ownership of your territory. We’re seeking a strong closer who excels at long-term account management: someone who can walk into a prospective account to secure a meeting while continuing to consistently support existing clients. The ideal candidate is organized, competitive, and deeply passionate about the cannabis industry.
Location: field-based, remote
Reports to: Sales Manager Compensation
Base Salary: starts at $80,000 On-Target Earnings (OTE): $140,000 (base + monthly commission)
Responsibilities:
Own revenue growth across your territory with clear accountability for monthly and quarterly sales targets Spend 4–5 days per week in the field visiting dispensaries, building face-to-face relationships with buyers and store staff Open new accounts and expand product placement and shelf presence within existing ones Identify and execute visual merchandising opportunities to maximize Jaunty’s in-store visibility Implement sales strategies set by the Chief Revenue Officer and provide ground-level feedback on what’s working and what isn’tCoordinate with Distribution to ensure accurate, on-time fulfillment for your accounts Partner with Field Marketing on in-store activations, events, and promotional campaigns Relay customer and retailer feedback to internal teams to inform product and marketing decisions Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on pipeline, performance, and competitive activity Represent Jaunty at industry events and use your network to open doors
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets Strong relationship-building and communication skills: you’re credible in the room and reliable after you leave it Proven ability to manage a high-volume territory independently and stay organized across dozens of accounts Experience with CRM platforms (Hubspot, Apex, etc.) and comfort using data to inform your approachA real knowledge of and passion for cannabis products Willingness to travel extensively throughout your assigned territory Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of sales experience in a recreational cannabis market or a similar, highly competitive consumer packaged goods environment Familiarity with visual merchandising and in-store brand execution Experience supporting or participating in retail activations and industry events Access to reliable personal transportation
