Strategic Account Executive, Mining The Strategic Account Executive, Mining plays a critical role in driving Armada's growth across the mining sector in Australia and the Pacific, including major mining operators, equipment OEMs, and technology/automation partners operating in remote and off-grid environments. This role is designed for a senior, strategic seller who excels at managing complex, long-cycle enterprise accounts and building trusted partnerships at the executive and operational levels. This position combines strategic account ownership, consultative selling, and deep customer engagement to position Armada's edge computing and AI solutions (Atlas, Bridge, and Galleon) as mission-critical platforms for mining operations in remote, harsh, and disconnected environments. You will work closely with senior mining executives, operations leaders, and technology stakeholders to solve real operational challenges and deliver measurable outcomes on-site. This role is instrumental in expanding Armada's footprint across the ANZ and Pacific mining markets and building long-term, high-value customer relationships. Territory: Australia and the Pacific Location: Australia (Remote)Drive new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing complex enterprise opportunities within major mining operators across Australia and the Pacific Develop deep relationships with senior stakeholders (mining executives, operations leadership, IT/OT leaders, and procurement)Lead end-to-end enterprise sales cycles across multiple sites and regions within Australia and Papua New Guinea Navigate highly complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups within remote, operationally intensive mine-site environments Deliver value-based presentations, clearly articulating the impact of Armada's edge and AI solutions on mission-critical mining operations Own pipeline strategy, forecasting, and CRM discipline across the mining territory Lead complex negotiations and close high-value, multi-year strategic deals Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and solutions teams to deliver tailored, site-ready solutions Drive partner and ecosystem engagement with EPCMs, mining-tech and automation vendors, equipment OEMs, and connectivity providers Support and lead participation in RFI/RFQ/RFP processes across mining procurement frameworks Represent Armada at key mining industry events and forums across Australia and the Pacific Ensure strong post-sale engagement to drive adoption, expansion, and long-term retention Stay current on mining industry priorities, budgets, procurement cycles, and competitive landscape Maintain a regular FIFO (fly-in fly-out) travel rhythm to remote Pilbara, Goldfields, and PNG sites Operate with high ownership and autonomy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field (advanced degree a plus)10+ years of strategic enterprise sales experience, with a strong focus on mining, resources, or industrial/heavy asset accounts in Australia/Papua New Guinea Proven experience managing strategic or named accounts within mining operators Strong track record closing large, complex, multi-site deals with long sales cycles Experience selling technology solutions (AI, edge computing, infrastructure, or data platforms) into mining or industrial environments Strong understanding of mining operations, procurement processes, and stakeholder environments Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills History of consistent quota overachievement Disciplined pipeline management and forecasting capability Self-directed, adaptable, and effective in high-growth environments Existing decision-maker network and credibility ("dirty boots" experience) across major Australian and PNG mining companies Familiarity with EPCM and engineering firms that shape technology/connectivity specifications on new mining projects Familiarity with mining procurement frameworks (RFP/RFQ processes, OEMs, integrators)Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Command of the Message methodologies Startup or high-growth company experience Prior mining or field operations background (highly advantageous for credibility)Knowledge of edge computing, cloud platforms, AI/ML, private wireless/satellite connectivity, and their applications in mining operations Comfort selling across varied ownership structures, from large ASX-listed multinationals to smaller, state- or landowner-linked structuresA go-getter with a growth mindset.
