About the role

About the Company: A top-ranked national general contractor (ENR Top-100) delivering complex, large-scale projects across mission-critical/data center, advanced manufacturing, and water/wastewater markets. A nationwide project pipeline means long-term career stability that extends well beyond any single job, and candidates interview directly with the VP/director hiring managers from the first conversation.
Job Description: The team is expanding and seeking Project Managers to take ownership of sophisticated construction work across mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, and water/wastewater environments. This is a hands-on delivery role for construction leaders who want to lead high-performing teams and build a long-term career on a national platform. It supports projects that may require extended assignments away from home — candidates must be comfortable with a travel-heavy model of approximately 90% national project travel, including remote-site assignments and rotational schedules. Select Responsibilities Lead or support all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction coordination and procurement through buyout, scheduling, cost management, quality, safety, and closeout Own core project controls including budget and cost control, schedule management, change management, and documentation Coordinate across field leadership, design teams, clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to keep complex work on track Manage subcontractor coordination and technically complex trade packages Manage project documentation, scope changes, budgets, forecasts, and schedules Contribute to problem solving on technically demanding projects in critical infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, and water/wastewater settings Represent the project team professionally across both office and jobsite environments
Ideal Candidate:
  • Current experience with a commercial general contractor or qualifying developer-builder
  • Demonstrated project-management ownership, or Senior Project Engineer experience that clearly supports a step into a PM I or PM II role
  • Relevant experience in at least one of: data centers/mission critical, advanced manufacturing, industrial construction, or water/wastewater infrastructure
  • Strong command of budget/cost control, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, change management, documentation, client communication, and closeout
  • Genuine readiness for extended national travel, ideally based near a regional office
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred: complex MEP-intensive, critical-infrastructure, or water/wastewater project experience; commissioning exposure; and experience managing large scopes, self-perform work, or complex subcontractor packages What's on Offer Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package A nationwide project pipeline offering job security beyond any single project Direct access to VP/director hiring managers who personally lead candidates through the process The opportunity to build a long-term career with a nationally recognized builder

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
