About the role
Founding Account Executive | Payments Infrastructure / Developer Security📍 New York City (Hybrid)💰 $125k - $150k base / $250k - $300k OTE (uncapped) + equity📌 $44M raised | Series BWe’re partnering with a fast-growing payments infrastructure company building the security layer behind modern payment products. The platform sits at a critical point in the payments stack: it lets fintechs, marketplaces, and SaaS companies securely handle and tokenise sensitive payment data, reduce PCI scope, and build more flexible payment architectures without taking on the full security and compliance burden. That means engineering teams can launch payment products faster, reduce operational and regulatory risk, and avoid being locked into a single processor or payments provider. The product is already used by companies including Ramp, Rippling, Modern Treasury and Duffel, with strong growth across the US and Europe. You’ll sell to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Payments, Product leaders, and technical teams across fintech, payments, marketplaces, and SaaS.The sales motion combines: Strategic, multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities Faster-moving commercial deals Technical discovery around payments, APIs, security and compliance High levels of ownership across outbound, deal strategy and GTM development
What You’ll Do:
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close Build pipeline across UK and European fintech, payments and SaaS accounts Run discovery around APIs, tokenisation, payment architecture, PCI and security workflows Sell directly to technical, product, payments and executive stakeholders Manage multi-threaded opportunities across engineering, compliance, product and commercial teams Coordinate technical evaluations and POCs alongside Solutions Engineering Build commercial cases around developer efficiency, PCI scope reduction, payment flexibility and risk reduction Help shape outbound strategy, messaging, ICP and territory planning as the London team scales Feed customer and market insight directly back into leadership and product What They’re Looking For 2+ years of genuine full-cycle closing experience Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, payments, cybersecurity, infrastructure or developer tools Strong self-generated pipeline experience Confidence selling technical or API-led products Ability to engage CTOs, engineering, security, product or payments stakeholders credibly Comfortable managing both complex enterprise opportunities and faster commercial sales cycles Strong commercial ownership and willingness to operate autonomously Someone excited by joining early and helping build, rather than inheriting, a mature sales machine Direct payments experience is useful, but not essential. They’re equally interested in strong technical sellers from security, infrastructure, data or developer-tool environments who can learn the payments domain quickly. Why It’s Interesting Mission-critical infrastructure rather than another “nice-to-have” SaaS product Product sits directly at the intersection of payments, security and developer infrastructure Backed by Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures Customers include Ramp, Rippling, Modern Treasury and Duffel Direct exposure to founders, sales leadership, product and engineering Scope to influence how the product is sold Uncapped commission with acceleratorsQ1 fully guaranteed at 100% OTE while you ramp Meaningful equity in a scaling Series B infrastructure company This is a strong opportunity for an AE who wants to move deeper into technical infrastructure, sell a product that solves an essential engineering and compliance problem, and have real influence on how a market is built.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
