About the role

Volunteers are the Heart of Hospice & Community Care! "Being a Hair Stylist Volunteer for Hospice & Community Care has been so meaningful. Being able to combine my craft with helping people at such a pivitol time in their lives is an honor. But, I am certain, it is I who benefits the most." HCC Hair Stylist Volunteer Looking forward to a unique & rewarding way to service your local community and make a difference? Share your professional expertise in a special way to meet the needs of patients and families in our care. Hospice and Community Care is seeking hair stylist volunteers. For patients in our care, this service can bring comfort and joy, and a much-appreciated respite from the daily physical and mental challenges they face as a result of their serious illness. Hair Stylist volunteers equally benefit, as their service can bring an immense sense of purpose and satisfaction. Hair Stylist volunteers must possess a current, valid PA Cosmetology license and have reliable transportation. Training will be provided. No time commitment is needed, and patient visits can be designed to best fit a volunteer's busy schedule. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
