About the role

Enver is a leading VR game studio and publisher headquartered in New York City. We build viral, social gaming worlds and are known for top-tier publishing and marketing, with creator-led campaigns behind some of the biggest titles in VR, including chart-topping games on Meta Quest. Our specialty is social, live-ops driven multiplayer games built around communities, creators, and content loops.
The Role: A free to play, social VR game for Meta Quest. You are a senior developer on a small team. Your core responsibility is development: writing code, defining the architecture, and building prototypes into live games. Alongside that you help plan timelines, distribute features across the developers, and keep the project on track. Management responsibilities are light. Most of your week is spent building. The cycle is fast. Ideas become playable multiplayer prototypes in weeks, and games that go forward move into production and live ops with big updates every few weeks. Code you write reaches real players quickly, and you see the impact the same week.
What You'll Do: Write production code every day. Design, build and ship gameplay and metagame features in Unity / C#Develop real-time networked VR gameplay: state sync, server-authoritative logic, smooth multiplayer for physical locomotion Build live-ops systems (economy, progression, events, shop) integrated with our backend services Own the project's technical setup end to end: backend, multiplayer, store setup, CI/CD, releases Scope and break down tasks, split the work between yourself and the other developers Profile and optimize for Meta Quest, keeping builds stable and performant Investigate and resolve live incidents with urgency and clear communication Collaborate daily with design, art and production in a fully remote team
Requirements: Must Have 5+ years of professional Unity / C# development, with at least one shipped VR title on Meta Quest supported post-launch, ideally free to play Hands-on real-time multiplayer experience, ideally Photon Live-ops experience: release channels, remote config, economies, live ops systems, analytics Strong performance optimization and Unity internals (profiling, memory, IL2CPP, Addressables)Experience integrating client features against backend services (REST APIs, player data, economy, leaderboards)Comfortable owning architecture end to end Excellent communication: you explain problems and trade-offs clearly, flag risks early, and thrive in an async remote environment
Nice To Have: Bonus Play Fab, Azure Functions, or similar backend and live-ops platforms Experience working from a shared framework or codebase across several projects Understanding of the free to play social VR audience and what makes good creator content

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
