About the role

AlphaSense provides market intelligence and search built on AI, helping companies make decisions with confidence. Its content spans equity research, company filings, event transcripts, expert calls, news, trade journals and clients' own research. The company acquired Tegus in 2024 to expand its content and product capabilities, serves more than 6,000 enterprise customers (including most of the S&P 500), and – founded in 2011 and headquartered in New York City – now has over 2,000 employees across offices in the US, UK, Finland, India, Singapore, Canada and Ireland. The Brand Team combines copywriting, brand design, advertising and filmmaking, working as an internal partner to the wider business by identifying customer problems, understanding market needs and building brand experiences. The Senior Motion Designer sits on the Brand & Creative team and bridges high-end cinematic motion with AI-driven production. The role covers both traditional animation and building repeatable, AI-assisted workflows that help the team scale, spanning timeline tools (After Effects, C4D) and experimental tools (ComfyUI, Runway, Midjourney), with the goal of making AlphaSense a leader in AI-applied brand storytelling.
What you'll be doing: Design and animate – create high-quality motion for brand campaigns, product launches, social channels and executive keynotes Build workflows – design AI-supported animation systems that reduce repetitive manual work, such as versioning, clean-up and generative backgrounds Define motion identity – work with Brand Leads to evolve motion guidelines and keep the look consistent across global touchpoints R&D and education – track new creative technology and demo useful tools and techniques to the broader creative team Cross-functional work – partner with Product Designers, using Figma files to create pixel-accurate marketing animations of software UI Scale through systems – build a library of reusable motion assets and templates that enable fast iteration without losing quality Build product and market knowledge – learn the AlphaSense platform, its customers and the B2B enterprise market so motion work reflects real product value and buyer context
What we're looking for: Motion mastery – 8+ years in motion graphics and animation, with a portfolio showing strong skills in timing, physics, typography and storytelling Product animation – deep experience animating SaaS and complex UI, including feature reveals, product narratives, interactions, states, transitions and micro-interactions Systems thinking – experience building MOGRTs, scripts or automated pipelines that help other designers work faster Technical range – expert in After Effects and the Adobe suite; 3D (C4D/Blender) and Houdini experience is a major plus Product design fluency – comfortable in Figma and working with Product Designers to turn UI into precise marketing motion AI-native – actively experimenting with tools such as Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Runway Gen-3 or Luma, and using AI for rotoscoping, textures, style transfer or frame interpolation Strategic making – able to turn abstract ideas, such as "market intelligence", into clear, attractive visual metaphors Adaptability – comfortable with fast-changing, sometimes unstable emerging tools, and happy troubleshooting them What's on offer Base salary of US$116,000 – US$160,000; final offers depend on factors such as experience and expertise and may fall outside this range (AlphaSense posts ranges for all roles, regardless of hiring location, for compliance and transparency) Eligibility for a performance-based bonus and equity A generous benefits programme Full-time, remote within the United States Equal opportunities AlphaSense is an equal-opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination in all employment decisions based on race, colour, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, military or veteran status, disability or other non-merit factors, and commits to reasonable accommodations for qualified employees with disabilities. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
