Department: Operations Location: Phoenix, AZ Work Schedule: In-office, Monday–Friday Employment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryThe Project Manager plays a critical role in managing nationwide installation projects for Compactor and Baler equipment. This position is responsible for overseeing projects from initial planning through completion, coordinating timelines, resources, communication, and execution across Sales, Service, Logistics, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations.This role also serves as a key liaison between internal teams and customers, utilizing Salesforce and internal systems to manage project activity, track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and identify and resolve potential risks or delays throughout the project lifecycle.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities across a national service footprint.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & CoordinationManage installation projects from project initiation through completion. Develop and coordinate project timelines in collaboration with Sales, Logistics, field technicians, subcontractors, and customers. Coordinate project requirements, site readiness, equipment delivery, scheduling, and resource availability. Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, risks, or other execution challenges. Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and requirements while communicating updates to appropriate stakeholders. Ensure installation activities comply with company policies, safety standards, customer requirements, and project expectations. Conduct project follow-up and confirm completion of required documentation and deliverables. Cross-Functional & Sales Team CollaborationPartner closely with the Sales team to support project handoff, pre-installation planning, and post-sale coordination. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding project timelines, status updates, risks, and customer follow-ups. Help bridge communication between Sales, Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure accurate expectations are established and maintained. Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to support successful project execution. Provide visibility into project status and communicate significant updates, challenges, or changes to leadership and key stakeholders. Systems & Salesforce ManagementUtilize Salesforce CRM to: Track project milestones, installations, and customer interactions. Maintain accurate records of project activity, work orders, installation details, and project status. Support reporting and visibility into project performance and completion. Ensure data accuracy across Salesforce and internal systems, including RentalMan/AS400 where applicable. Support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, data gaps, and opportunities to improve project execution. Customer Communication & Project SupportCommunicate directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle to: Confirm project timelines and installation schedules. Gather and communicate site readiness requirements. Provide project status updates and communicate scheduling changes. Coordinate follow-up after project completion. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while managing expectations and supporting a high-quality customer experience. Coordinate internally to support timely resolution of project-related issues. Administrative & Operational SupportPrepare, process, and coordinate purchase orders, work orders, and other documentation related to assigned projects. Maintain accurate project files, including work orders, installation records, service reports, vendor documentation, and related project materials. Coordinate parts, equipment, and other project requirements as needed. Track project performance metrics, timelines, and completion status. Support leadership with reporting, process improvement initiatives, and other operational needs. QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education. Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, customer support, or a related role. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and coordinate effective solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with CRM, project management, scheduling, or operational systems; Salesforce experience strongly preferred. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams. Adaptable, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. PreferredExperience managing installation, service, logistics, construction, equipment, or operational projects. Experience in waste, recycling, logistics, or industrial equipment environments. Familiarity with Compactors and Balers or other technical equipment. Experience coordinating projects or field service teams across multiple regions. Strong customer service mindset and ability to manage stakeholder expectations. Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma 2 years of related project coordination, operations, customer support, or administrative experience Ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
