About the role
Harvest food, fight hunger, build community! We will be collecting beautiful fresh fruit that would otherwise go to waste, and donating 100% to local hunger relief organizations. Join the Volunteer Harvest Team to help us harvest as much fruit as possible and pack it into boxes to be donated. Volunteers should be comfortable harvesting and carrying boxes of fruit, but don't need to worry about bringing equipment or transporting the fruit. This opportunity is open to volunteers 5 years old and older, although children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. In order to attend this event, each person (children included) MUST REGISTER on our volunteer calendar here:**www.foodforward.org/volunteer-calendar Simply find the date of this event, then the name, and click on it to register. Volunteers must read our Health and COVID-19 Policy here: www.foodforward.org/covid-19-policy/
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
