About the role
Brunel is recruiting Mechanical Technicians to work in Hopkinsville, Kentucky with our major oil and gas client for initially 2 years contract. Per diem is available!
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, generators, conveyors, valves, hydraulic systems, and other process equipment. Align machines, motors, and driven equipment using precision alignment tools. Read blueprints, diagrams, and repair manuals. Operate forklifts and other industrial mobile equipment as needed. Follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma plus completion of a trade school or apprenticeship certificate or program. Working knowledge of pumps, seals, bearings, piping, valves, utility systems, and material processing equipment. Ability to perform laser alignment on motors and driven machinery. Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds daily and up to 100 pounds periodically. Ability to work at heights and indoors and outdoors in an industrial environment.
