About the role
- Automotive and coatings industry experience
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 Experience managing customer quality issues, complaints, and claims
- Strong root cause analysis skills, including 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Is/Is NotKnowledge of APQP, FMEA, and LPAExperience implementing and verifying corrective and preventive actions
- Experience supporting customer and third-party audits
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong customer-facing and cross-functional leadership skills
- Lead resolution of customer quality issues, from containment through root cause, corrective action, and closure
- Manage customer complaints and claims using proven quality methods
- Serve as the escalation point for high-severity quality issues
- Communicate issue status, risks, and resolution plans directly to customers
- Lead and support customer audits with the QA Site Manager
- Translate customer-specific requirements into internal processes
- Identify quality risks early and coordinate preventive actions
- Support compliance with IATF, APQP, FMEA, and LPA requirements
- Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and LabsBuild strong relationships with customer plant, quality, and engineering teams
