About the role

Python Developer - Senior
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for delivery in the areas of software development and data engineering including technology implementations
  • Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes
  • Construct data staging layers and fast real-time systems
  • Develop, deploy and maintains Restful APIs for data integration and ingestion
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Gradle, Spinnaker, Kibana, and Jenkins
  • Experience with test driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks, such as Fitnesse, pytest, Selenium
  • Knowledgeable about containerized and micro-service based development with the goal to deploy to Kubernetes on AWS (EKS)
  • Quickly learn new tools and paradigms to deploy cutting edge solutions
  • Develop both deployment architecture and scripts for automated system deployment in AWSCreate large scale deployments using newly researched methodologies
  • Work in Agile environment
Required Skills: This is a Python developer, but looking for specific emphasis on development and deployment of APIs for consumption as a web service. OOD and TDD are must haves - They don't write script, they build them as objects. Not looking for a data scientist or a devops developer. Strong preference for JavaScript or HTML. They're working with Postgres, but any other comparable database would be fine. Experience with SDLC and Agile environments is also a must have. Basic Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience 4+ years of software development Engineering experience using AWS (RDS, S3, Data lake), Python, Dev Ops, CI/CD (Kubernetes), Gradle, Spinnaker and Data Governance Solutions (Collibra and Talend) At least 3+ years' experience working with Python and popular frameworks like Django/Flask/FastApi, and other front end & orchestration layers' technologies: RESTful API, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML 5, and CSSAt least 3+ years of software development experience with microservice-based architectures, container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes/Amazon EKS.2+ Years of experience SQL database technologies - PostgreSQL, Snowflake Experience in unit testing and integration scripts Knowledge of Agile software development project methodologies preferred. Experience in technical documentation.
