Do you have a knack for creating compelling content and managing social media accounts with a traditional PR background? Are you able to confidently pitch a story to journalists and content creators? Do you have a love for cars, trucks, motorcycles, or an outdoor and adventure enthusiast? If so, Kahn Media is seeking a talented Account Executive to join our award-winning team. This position can either be fully remote or hybrid based on location. As an Account Executive, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Account Executive or Account Director, but will also take ownership of client relationships, participate directly in client meetings, and lead day-to-day PR and social media initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, securing media placements, managing content calendars, attending events, and reporting on results. This role is ideal for someone with 1.5 - 2 years of agency experience who wants to merge their communications skills with a passion for the automotive and outdoor lifestyle industries. (everything from social influencer outreach to creating posts to coordinating publications)
Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and execute comprehensive PR and social media strategies for multiple clients Draft and schedule posts for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Linked In, and XDraft press releases and pitch story ideas to automotive, lifestyle, and related media outlets Create and manage social media content calendars and campaigns Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry partners Collaborate with the creative team to develop original content using client assets or new materials Monitor and analyze PR and social media performance, providing insights and reports Represent clients in meetings and at industry events
Qualifications and Skills: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
Required: 1.5 to 2 years of professional PR or marketing agency experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of AP Style as it pertains to writing for PR.Strong knowledge of social media platforms - especially Facebook, Instagram, and You Tube. Experienced in organizing, creating, and scheduling social media posts. Basic photography/video and editing skills. Those with basic technical knowledge of cars, trucks, and off-road driving will be given priority.
