About the role

Manufacturing Associate Are you handy with tools and enjoy building things? A growing manufacturing company in Arlington is looking for a Manufacturing Associate to join their team! In this temporary-to-hire role, you'll use your woodworking, construction, shipping, or warehouse experience to build custom wooden crates used to safely ship manufactured products and components. You'll measure and cut lumber, use hand and power tools to build crates, package and secure products, and prepare completed orders for shipment. If you have experience in shipping, woodworking, carpentry, construction, pallet/crate building, or other hands-on work and enjoy working with your hands, this could be a great opportunity to build your skills and grow with a manufacturing company!
Job Duties: Measure and cut lumber to construct custom wooden crates and packaging for outgoing shipments. Use hand and power tools to assemble crates according to product and securely protect products and components to prevent damage during transport. Wrap, label, stage, and prepare completed products for shipment. Inspect finished crates for quality and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm
Pay: $21 - $25 per hour
Job Requirements: 6+ months of woodworking, construction, manufacturing, shipping, or other hands-on experience. Comfortable using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and nail guns. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow measurements and to lift to 50 lbs and remain on your feet throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
