About the role

A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an Equities Trading Assistant.
Responsibilities: Support post-trade processing across a range of financial products. Monitor transaction activity to ensure information is accurately recorded and processed. Investigate and resolve operational discrepancies, exceptions, and processing issues. Coordinate with internal departments, external service providers, and other business partners. Review transactions requiring additional analysis and help determine appropriate next steps. Escalate potential operational or regulatory concerns when necessary. Maintain effective controls and documentation across assigned workflows. Contribute to initiatives designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational processes. Support system enhancements, testing, and other departmental projects as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.2–3 years of experience in financial services operations, middle office, trade support, or a related function. General understanding of transaction processing and post-trade operations. Experience working with internal business teams and external service providers. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
