Job Description: Summary As an Advanced Lead Engineer – Commercial Field Service, you will get the unique opportunity to serve as the primary on-site representative for our customer and a single point of contact for key internal stakeholders before, during, and after aircraft entry into service.
Key Roles & Responsibilities: Provide Leadership and Technical Support: Offer technical direction and assistance to the customers operation, inspections, maintenance, and repair of assigned fleets. Customer Advocacy: Deliver prompt, effective solutions that address customer issues and exceed their expectations, driving loyalty and long-term partnerships. Monitor and Improve Reliability: Track reliability and on-wing performance, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations. Influence airline stakeholders to implement critical reliability improvements. Enhance Maintenance Planning: Influence maintenance planning to ensure the stability of the aircraft engine fleet. Evaluate Maintenance Effectiveness: Review the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify opportunities for improvement. Apply FLIGHT DECK: Utilize our FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement, identifying proactive reliability enhancements. Data Analytics and Reporting: Produce data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for key internal stakeholders. Proactive Maintenance Recommendations: Provide recommendations for proactive maintenance based on engine performance analytics.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor of Engineering or technical degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED / technical certificate with at least 6 years of full-time work experience in airline operations or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or other related field A minimum of 4 years of full-time working experience in airline operations or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or other related field Desired Characteristics Technical expertise in aircraft engine or turbomachinery equipment Experience using software or data analytics to make informed technical decisions and to provide recommendations to the customer or other key internal stakeholders Self-directed with the ability to problem solve using sound judgement and critical thinking Ability to lead and deliver on result orientated priorities using strong project management, analytical, time management and prioritization skills Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to forge deep relations at all levels, not only with key internal stakeholders but also with the customer Passion to gain a deeper understanding of the commercial function and driving success for Aerospace with internal/external stakeholders, our customers, partners and colleagues
