Responsibilities: Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other designated locations Assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, conducting routine checks and reporting any issues Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times Communicate effectively with nursing home staff and residents regarding transportation schedules and changes Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with residents during transport Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents Assist with loading and unloading residents' mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers Respond promptly to any emergencies or unexpected situations during transport Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures Requirements/
Qualifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience. Understanding of safety regulations and protocols Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges safely. Familiarity with local routes and GPS navigation systems. CPR and First Aid certification preferred Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling Must pass a caregiver background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) Education High School Diploma/GED Experience Entry Level (0-2 years) Benefits/
