About the role
The role:
You will help take electronic boards from schematic capture through fabrication and bring-up, building your skills across digital, analog, mixed-signal and power electronics. This role suits an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on hardware development and can demonstrate PCB work through employment, internships or practical projects.
Key responsibilities:
Support schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer, including component placement, routing and design rule checks.
Assist with component selection, schematic symbols, PCB footprints and bills of materials.
Apply grounding, power distribution and routing practices with guidance from senior engineers.
Help prepare fabrication and assembly files, incorporating feedback from engineering reviews and manufacturing partners.
Support prototype assembly, board bring-up, electrical testing and fault finding using laboratory equipment.
Work with electrical, RF and mechanical engineers to resolve integration issues and document design changes.
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Practical PCB design experience through professional work, internships, university projects or personal projects.
- Understanding of basic analog and digital circuits, electronic components and PCB manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read schematics and use equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and bench power supplies.
- Clear communication, attention to detail and a willingness to learn within a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be eligible to work on U.S. export-controlled projects (ITAR).Desirable experience
- Multilayer PCBs, differential pairs, controlled impedance or signal and power integrity fundamentals.
- Microcontrollers, FPGA interfaces, RF circuits or power electronics.
- PCB soldering and rework, design for manufacture, or aerospace and defense hardware projects.
- Please share your resume and, where possible, examples of Altium or PCB projects, including your contribution to the design, layout and testing.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
