About the role
- Plan, develop, and execute validation activities for MineStar products and features.
- Create test plans, test procedures, and validation reports to support product development and release readiness.
- Validate MineStar functionality across proving ground and customer-facing environments.
- Investigate, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document complex software and system issues.
- Partner with development teams to identify root causes and verify corrective actions.
- Support integration testing involving onboard machine systems, MineStar applications, network infrastructure, and supporting technologies. Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve product quality, reliability, and customer experience.
- Collaborate with product groups, validation teams, field follow engineers, and MineStar support teams. Travel to customer sites as needed to support validation efforts, field investigations, and technology deployments.
- Participate in new product introductions, field follow activities, and release readiness reviews.
- What You Have: Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Experience working with MineStar Products or mining technology solutions
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Software Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.o Experience creating and executing structured test plans and validation activities.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mining Engineering or related field. Consideration for Top Candidates: Experience with MineStar Fleet, Terrain, Health, Detect, or Command.
- Knowledge of surface mining operations and production processes.
- Experience supporting MineStar deployments, field installations, or customer operations. Experience with software validation, systems integration, or product verification activities.
- Familiarity with networking, wireless communications, onboard systems, and data collection technologies. Understanding of GNSS/GPS technologies, machine guidance systems, or autonomous mining solutions.
- Experience utilizing data analysis tools to evaluate product performance and identify issues.
- Experience supporting field follow, NPI, or release validation programs.
- Ability to independently diagnose complex issues across software, hardware, infrastructure, and operational environments.
