About the role
Role Manager of Metrology & Instrumentation at Humacyte, overseeing calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMP and non-GMP equipment within site operations.
Responsibilitieslead personnel management including staffing, performance, and professional development; ensure equipment reliability and compliance with GMP/GLP standards; collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations; draft calibration procedures; serve as SME for instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting; support continuous improvement and vendor management.
Requirements:
Associate's in engineering or life sciences; 7+ years in metrology, instrumentation, or calibration; proven leadership experience; technical expertise in equipment reliability and calibration standards; familiar with GMP/GLP, clean room protocols, electrical safety NFPA-70E preferred.
High Valueexperience in biomanufacturing environments, especially in cell/gene or biologics manufacturing, with GMP/GLP compliance; leadership in calibration and maintenance; working knowledge of electrical safety and clean room standards; on-site Durham, NC; potential for supporting manufacturing and utility equipment.
Collaborationwork cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams.
Work Setupon-site, no remote option, with physical requirements for prolonged sitting, standing, and lifting.
