About the role

Job Description: This position performs a variety of functions that includes receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse and stone yard as well as some facilities maintenance.
Duties and responsibilities: This position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drive and operate a forklift
  • Remove shipped materials from delivery vehicles to designated area
  • Examine receiving documents for accuracy with attention to detail
  • Pull materials for orders and prepare orders for shipment
  • Maintain an organized, safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, stone yard pallet area, and workstations clear of hazards
  • Use proper safety equipment and procedures
  • Provide efficient service when pulling and loading retail and contractor orders
  • Maintain indoor and outdoor showroom, to include daily leaf blowing, minor cleaning and repairs, and resetting samples
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must be able operate forklift (we will train the right candidates)
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills required (ex.: addition, subtraction, understand pounds, tons, square feet)
  • Previous warehouse experience helpful, tile/stone experience a plus
  • Inventory experience a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Detail oriented
