Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures
- Assist providers with routine treatments and patient care needs
- Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy
- Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories
- Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
- Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
