Job Description Looking for a truck diagnostic technician that lists core tasks like using computer scanners, checking electrical systems, and fixing heavy-duty truck engines.
Key Duties:
Run computer tests on truck systems.
Find issues with engines, brakes, and electrical parts.
Read error codes from truck computers.
Use special diagnostic tools and multi-meters.
Write down all work and parts used.
Clear trucks to go back on the road safely.
Skills NeededKnow how to use heavy-duty truck software.
Understand diesel engines and wiring.
Read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
Solve hard mechanical problems fast.
Pay close attention to detail.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.Trade school or diesel tech degree preferred.
ASE certifications are a big plus.
At least 2 years of hands-on truck repair experience.
Valid driver's license and clean record.
