Job DescriptionThe purpose of a Fleet Leader is to provide efficient and effective management of a fleet of drivers, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations. The role involves ensuring the drivers are appropriately trained and qualified, providing support and guidance to ensure they are working safely and efficiently, and to ensure the fleet meets its operational objective. JOB FUNCTIONS:Lead and retain a designated fleet of driversEnsure that all drivers are fully compliant with legal requirementsCoordinate with planning personnel to obtain loads for fleet and dispatch driversManage driver availability to maximize the productivity of fleetMonitor driver performance and conductEnsure payroll accuracy for assigned driversMaintain records of driver logsAct as a first point of contactKEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED equivalent; College degree preferredExperience dispatching and managing drivers preferredExcellent communication and customer service skills requiredExperience working in a deadline driven environment preferredExperience in McLeod a plusStrong understanding of commercial vehicle regulations and safety standards
