About the role

BLK Box Group is hiring a Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead. (NY/NJ, on the ground.)BLK Box Group is seeking a business development professional who knows how to create demand through relationships—not just marketing campaigns. The company operates across storage, moving, and logistics in one of the country's most dynamic markets. The strongest growth opportunities are built through strategic partnerships, and this role is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding those relationships. Key partnership opportunities include:• Property managers and multifamily operators• Real estate agents and stagers• Universities and campuses• Commercial relationships• Local business partnerships The objective is to strengthen the channels that work, develop new ones, and turn them into a repeatable engine for growth. This role offers the autonomy to identify opportunities, test ideas, and build partnerships that create long-term value. The ideal candidate has:• Built business development or partnership channels from the ground up.• Experience in a physical-service business such as logistics, home services, storage, relocation, or a related industry.• The ability to cold-call a building manager in the morning and analyze a customer acquisition funnel in the afternoon.• A track record of creating opportunities without waiting for a playbook.• Strong familiarity with the NY/NJ market and a preference for building relationships in person rather than behind a dashboard. A typical week may include meeting with property managers, visiting prospective partners, attending networking events, identifying new business opportunities, and working with leadership to refine partnership and growth strategies. Success in this role will be measured by:• Building strategic partnerships• Creating repeatable customer acquisition channels• Driving customer growth• Converting opportunities into long-term business relationships This role is not the right fit for candidates who prefer to spend their time inside advertising platforms, require a predefined playbook, prefer managing existing accounts over creating new opportunities, or rely on outside agencies whenever the pipeline slows.
Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus tied to growth. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply or share this opportunity with someone who would be a strong fit. Applications should include a brief example of a partnership or customer acquisition channel built from scratch that produced measurable results. That experience will be a central part of the interview process.#hiring #businessdevelopment #strategicpartnerships #growth #NYC #New Jersey #logistics

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
