About the role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either ground up multifamily projects or schools, including renovations. This is a senior field leadership position requiring someone who can effectively oversee 3-4 projects simultaneously, manage multiple field teams, and ensure each project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The role will primarily be based in Miami, with travel to Orlando when required to support project teams and provide senior field leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee 3–4 active construction projects simultaneously, providing leadership and direction to project Superintendents and field teams.
Provide overall field leadership from project mobilization through completion and closeout.
Oversee either ground-up multifamily construction or school construction and renovation projects.
Coordinate and manage Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other field personnel.
Establish and maintain project schedules, sequencing, logistics, and manpower requirements.
Monitor progress across multiple projects and ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Conduct regular site visits and project reviews to identify potential issues before they impact schedule, cost, or quality.
Ensure all work is being performed safely and in accordance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and project specifications.
Review plans, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify potential issues and coordinate solutions.
Work closely with Project Managers and senior leadership to maintain strong communication throughout each project.
Oversee subcontractor performance, coordination, quality control, and adherence to project schedules.
Assist with resolving field issues, scheduling conflicts, and construction challenges.
Ensure projects maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding project progress, challenges, staffing, and overall performance.
Travel to Orlando as needed to support and oversee projects.
Requirements:
8+ years of construction experience, with significant experience in a Superintendent or General Superintendent capacity.
Proven experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally 3–4 projects at a time.
Strong experience with either:
Ground-up multifamily construction, or School/K-12 construction, including renovations.
Previous experience leading Superintendents and larger field teams.
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor management.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality control, and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to travel between projects and provide hands-on leadership when required.
Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar construction software experience is preferred.
Construction-related degree is preferred but not required.
