About the role
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the distribution center
- Move pallets and materials to designated areas
- Load and unload customer trailers
- Position forks and lifting equipment properly under or around loaded pallets
- Lift, transport, unload, and stack materials
- Assist with pallet sorting and other warehouse duties as needed
- Follow all forklift safety procedures and company guidelines
- Maintain expected productivity and performance standards
- Complete required paperwork and records accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding daily operations
- Work overtime when required
- Current forklift certification is required
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate a forklift for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Must be able to pass an accurate background check and drug screen
