Sleep Medicine Neurology VA Northern California Health Care System Stockton, California Transform Veteran Care as a Sleep Medicine Neurologist-Stockton VAThe VA Northern California Health Care System is seeking a skilled Sleep Medicine Neurologist to join our expanding specialty care team in Stockton, CA. This is an opportunity to practice high-quality medicine with the time, support, and resources to focus on Veteran-centered care.
Position Overview: Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, parasomnias, movement disorders in sleep, and other neurologically related sleep conditions. Interpret sleep studies and collaborate closely with Sleep Technologists and interdisciplinary teams. Support outpatient Neurology services as part of a collaborative specialty team. Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives within the service line. Typical Monday-Friday schedule with no excessive call burden.
What We Offer: Competitive salary: $245,000-350,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Annual performance bonus and regular salary increases. Up to 55 days of paid time off (annual leave, sick leave, and federal holidays).Robust federal retirement with pension and 401k with VA contributions. Malpractice coverage with tail included. Possible Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) eligibility. No employment contracts and no non-compete clauses.
Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship (required).MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Neurology. Board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
