Our shoreside staff play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring every passenger starts their trip on the right foot.
The Role: Rhode Island Fast Ferry is seeking Ticket Agents / Customer Service Representatives for our summer season (May - October). These are full-time, seasonal positions based at our North Kingstown terminal. This is a great opportunity for high school and college students, or anyone looking for a fast-paced, customer-focused role. As a front-line team member, you'll be the first point of contact for passengers—handling ticketing, answering questions, and helping ensure a smooth travel experience.
What You'll Do: Assist customers with ticket purchases, reservations, and check-in Answer phones and provide accurate information about schedules, fares, and services Help customers plan trips and resolve issues professionally Process transactions and handle cash/credit payments Support daily office operations and administrative tasks Maintain a friendly, organized, and efficient front desk environment
What We're Looking For: Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Comfortable interacting with customers and handling questions or concerns Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly Previous customer service or retail experience (preferred)
