Description: Skyline offers analytical services to the mining industry. When a mine wants to know if they have copper, gold or silver in their soil they send us samples in the form of core or rock ship. Sample Prep Technicians: receive the samples of core, rock ship, or soil. These samples are split, crushed, and pulverized to create a powder-size sample. 2nd shift, $17.90/hr, 1:30p-10:00p, voluntary OT available on Saturday's This labor-intensive position has prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 65 lbs. Employees in this position are exposed to the powder dust and are required to wear a respirator and personal protective equipment provided by the company. Employment is contingent on completing pre-hire screening (E-Verify, Criminal Background Check, Drug Screening (urine and 90-day lookback hair test), and fingerprints. Lab Technician positions are designated as “safety-sensitive” under Arizona Drug Testing Statues. Outdoor and Indoor work environment.

Among its first mining clients were the historic Copper Queen Mine, the Copper Glance mine, the Holbrook Mine, and many other mines developing in & around Bisbee, AZ at the end of the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th century. Hawley and Hawley Assayers was recognized as one of the leading base metal, umpire, and ore-grade laboratories in the Southwest with delivering more than 40 years' experience in the Copper Industry. After going through a change in ownership, the name was changed to Skyline Assayers. Skyline continued that tradition of excellence in assaying for many decades under its new name.
