About the role

Finger Lakes Dental Care is looking for a Hygiene Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, staying busy, and being part of a team that works together to keep the day running smoothly. As a Hygiene Assistant, you'll work closely with our hygienists and doctors to provide a welcoming patient experience, keep appointments moving efficiently, and make sure the hygiene rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for each patient.
What You'll Do: Welcome patients, bring them to the hygiene room, and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit Prepare operatories and make sure instruments and supplies are ready to go Assist hygienists with charting, documentation, and other clinical needs as directed Take dental X-rays when trained and authorized to do so Assist with patient histories and vital signs when qualified Help keep the hygiene schedule running smoothly and communicate with the team when there are delays or changes Clean, disinfect, and prepare operatories between patients Sterilize and maintain instruments according to infection control procedures Monitor supplies and let the team know when something needs to be restocked or replaced Help coordinate patients' next hygiene appointments Provide a friendly, professional experience for every patient

Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 4-day work week
One weekday off each week, rotating based on the needs of the office Office hours: Monday: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM Tuesday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Wednesday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Thursday: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM Friday: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM
Important: The position is not Monday–Friday. The employee will work four of the five days each week, with the day off rotating.
