About the role
Description:
We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Director of Operationsto join our senior leadership team. This is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across the hotel, with oversight of Food & Beverage and Rooms Operations, while partnering closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to deliver strong guest experiences, financial performance and associate engagement.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished hotel leader who understands that great operations require more than managing the day-to-day. We are looking for someone who canlead leaders, establish clear expectations, use data to identify opportunities, hold teams accountable for results, and create an environment where associates are engaged and empowered to take care of our guests.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and hands‑on leadership to the hotel’s operational departments, with a particular emphasis on Food & Beverage and Rooms. You will work closely with department leaders to improve guest satisfaction, strengthen service delivery, achieve financial and productivity goals, and ensure consistent execution of Marriott and hotel standards.
You will analyze operational and financial performance, identify trends and opportunities, develop action plans, and follow through to ensure results. You will also play an important role in developing our leadership team, strengthening communication and accountability, supporting associate relations, and creating a culture where both guest service and business performance are priorities.
This position serves as a key partner to the General Manager and will be highly visible throughout the hotel, particularly during periods of high occupancy, group and convention activity, significant Food & Beverage events, and other critical operating periods.
What You Should Bring to the Table:
Strong operational leadership experience in afull-service hotel environment
Significant previous Food & Beverage leadership experience
Previoussenior-level hotel leadership experience, such as Director of Operations, Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Rooms, Hotel Manager or comparable role
Previous Marriott-branded hotel experience
A strong commitment toguest service and service recovery
Demonstrated ability to driverevenue, profitability, productivity and expense management
Strong understanding of hotel financial statements, forecasting, budgeting and operational metrics
Proven ability tolead and develop department heads and other leaders
Strong associate relations skills and a commitment to building an engaged, accountable and respectful workplace
Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
The ability to balance strategic leadership with a willingness to be highly visible and engaged in the operation
