Job Title: Connectivity Quality QA/QC Inspector
Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite 5 Days per Week)
Duration:
3-Month Contract to start with Contract: W2 We are seeking an experienced Connectivity Quality QA/QC Inspector to support telecommunications and connectivity infrastructure projects within a mission-critical data center environment. This individual will serve as an independent quality representative, ensuring that structured cabling, fiber optic, copper, pathway, and network infrastructure installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure, construction quality assurance, field inspections, and network connectivity installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Compliance Review and inspect work against approved project specifications, technical submittals, and construction drawings. Maintain records of applicable standards and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular audits to ensure contractors are working from current project documentation. Identify and escalate specification conflicts, quality concerns, and compliance issues. Support equipment and material quality verification activities. Field Inspections & Issue Resolution Perform ongoing inspections of structured cabling, fiber optic, copper, and pathway installations. Identify, document, and track deficiencies through closure. Verify work readiness before installation activities proceed. Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards. Witness testing activities and validate contractor test results. Network Infrastructure Quality Validate telecommunications installation quality and testing procedures. Review and verify fiber and copper test results against project requirements. Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and compliant with industry standards. Support network audit and infrastructure validation activities. Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination Participate in weekly quality and project coordination meetings. Prepare QA/QC reports, issue logs, and project quality metrics. Monitor project risks, aging deficiencies, and corrective action plans. Review project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and inspection records. Deliver final project quality closeout documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of telecommunications experience. Strong knowledge of: Structured cabling systems Fiber optic infrastructure Copper cabling systems Telecommunications pathways and support systems Telecommunications specifications and standards Experience reviewing: Construction drawings Technical specifications Submittals Shop drawings Experience using construction quality management and documentation platforms. Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work onsite full-time in Montgomery, Alabama.
Preferred Qualifications:
Data center or other mission-critical facility experience. Telecommunications construction quality inspection experience. Experience with device, circuit, and network quality audits. Understanding of BERT testing, optics health, and network validation processes. Fiber certification and testing experience. Hands-on experience with OTDR, OLTS, and fiber inspection tools. Experience serving as an owner's representative or independent QA/QC inspector on large infrastructure projects. Bachelor's degree preferred.
