Role Overview: The Accounts Receivable Representative is critical to securing the company’s revenue by verifying and posting receipts, processing timesheets, preparing billing, and resolving discrepancies. In this role, you will perform internal quality checks, post job-related expenses, and collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities: Create and distribute Accounts Receivable invoices to customers Conduct internal quality control checks of customer files to verify all expenses are appropriately allocated and billed Post timesheets, material invoices, and change orders to job orders. Accurately enter data into the accounting system File documents into project folders, ensuring organized and up-to-date records Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and analyzing information from purchase orders and change orders Protect organizational value by maintaining strict confidentiality of information Follow instructions carefully and comply with accounting principles and regulations Perform additional tasks as requested to support the team and company objectives
Skills and Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to catch errors and identify discrepancies Strong problem-solving, planning, and troubleshooting abilities Highly collaborative with a track record of positive teamwork and results Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience in project-based accounts receivable processes Flexible and adaptable to support team needs and take on additional responsibilities as required
