About the role

Powered By Love, an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a local Resource & Restoration Chair for The 831 Experience, a high-impact community restoration event on October 16th–17th, 2026, scale-designed for 75 unhoused guests and 150 total Gala attendees. This position is structured as a volunteer leadership role with a project-based stipend of $4,000. Please note that this stipend is strictly contingent upon successful event revenue generation. Operating on an intensive 4.5-month operational sprint starting June 1st, 2026, the workload follows a phased timeline: Phase 1 requires 3–5 hrs/wk; Phase 2 requires 8–10 hrs/wk; and Phase 3 scales to 20–30 hrs/wk during the October event dates. Expectations include managing incoming inventory (clothing drives, shoes, and hygiene items sorted strictly by size), hosting "Sorting Parties" to customize 75 Premium Backpacks using collected guest sizing data, and managing high-value inventory resale. You will also ensure all restorative items are securely stored and properly distributed during the final "Grand Sending." Additionally, you will recruit and manage a sub-committee of 3–4 specialized volunteers and oversee real-time inventory tracking and size profile updates on-site using the UniteUs app. Qualifications include a background in inventory control, logistics, retail operations, or donation drive coordination, strong organizational skills, and a dedication to high-dignity care.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
