Principal - Immediate Need Charter School Network New York City Area
Salary Range: $125,000 to $180,000 per year, based on experience Potential for Performance Bonus and Relocation Assistance Signing Bonus for 2026-2027 Terrific Principal position with a charter school network in the New York City area. There is an immediate need for a Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. The Principal will be responsible for achieving a high level of academic success and social-emotional development for their students. Ideal candidates will bring experience from a high performing charter school network, have a demonstrated track record of fostering academic success, and bring a passion for changing the landscape of public education in NYC and beyond.
Responsibilities: Lead by example and set the standard for excellence in instructional knowledge, planning, and implementation Build a school culture that is joyful and rigorous for staff, students, and families Motivate the school leadership team to effectively manage and coach others to achieve desired outcomes Create standards for problem-solving and student outcomes among the leadership team Leverage data to influence planning
Qualifications: At least 3 years of teaching experience and 2+ years of relevant principal experience with extraordinary outcomes Bachelor's degree required Experience at a high-performing charter school/network is preferred History of strong academic outcomes through state-wide assessments Strong connection to the organization's mission and educational philosophy Stellar communicator and people manager with the ability to influence change Data-driven with a clear vision of instructional excellence Ambitious, high EQ, and receptive to feedback Equal Opportunity Employer.
