Salary: $90,000~110,000 (DOE)
Company Overview:
A growing consumer products manufacturer is seeking a National Account Manager to drive business expansion across multiple product categories. The company develops and markets a diverse portfolio of consumer products, including pet products, home organization, household goods, and lifestyle products, through major retail and distribution channels.
Position Summary:
The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth through new business development and strategic account management. While the initial focus includes the pet products category, the role requires developing business across all product categories. The ideal candidate has an established network with retailers across multiple consumer product categories and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities. Candidates currently residing in Arizona or willing to relocate to Arizona are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand business across multiple consumer product categories. Identify, pursue, and secure new retail, distributor, and strategic partner opportunities. Build, manage, and grow relationships with national retail accounts. Present new product programs, category expansions, and promotional opportunities. Analyze sales performance, POS data, customer trends, and competitive activity. Develop sales forecasts, business plans, and strategic growth initiatives. Manage pricing, product listings, digital content, and account maintenance. Collaborate with marketing, product development, supply chain, and operations teams. Support promotional planning and evaluate post-promotion performance. Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of sales, business development, or national account management experience. Experience selling consumer products through retail and/or distribution channels. Established relationships with retailers across multiple product categories and a demonstrated ability to develop new customer accounts. Strong business development ("hunter") mindset with proven success acquiring new customers. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic recommendations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and CRM systems. Professional English communication skills. Ability to travel as required.
Preferred:
Experience in pet products, pet supplies, or the broader consumer products industry. Existing relationships with national retailers, distributors, and pet specialty accounts. Experience working with accounts such as Pet Smart, Petco, Chewy, Tractor Supply, or similar retailers. Experience managing national retail accounts. Currently resides in Arizona or is willing to relocate to Arizona. Other Details Relocation assistance available. Comprehensive benefits package.
