Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and restore classic and vintage vehicles to factory or custom specificationsPerform engine upgrades, tune-ups, and mechanical overhauls on antique and classic automobilesInspect and repair classic car brake systems, suspension, steering, and drivetrain componentsFabricate or source hard-to-find parts for vintage vehicle restoration projectsCollaborate with customers to understand restoration goals and provide expert mechanical recommendationsDocument repair and restoration work accurately, including parts used and labor performedMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Requirements: Proven experience as an auto mechanic, with a strong focus on classic or vintage vehicle restorationDeep knowledge of older mechanical systems, carburetors, points ignition, and period-correct componentsAbility to read and interpret vintage automotive schematics and service manualsExperience with fabrication, welding, or custom parts sourcing is a strong plusStrong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detailGenuine passion for classic cars and automotive historyMust supply own tools About Us: Straight Line Customs Inc is a premier classic car restoration and customization shop based in Prior Lake, MN, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the timeless machines that define automotive history.
