About the role
- Draft and revise wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents
- Handle probate and estate administration matters including petitions, inventories, accountings, and distributions
- Assist with trust administration, beneficiary communications, trust accountings, and asset distributions
- Research estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer tax, fiduciary, probate, and trust law issues
- Analyze client assets, family circumstances, and long-term objectives to help develop effective estate planning strategies
- Work directly with clients, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals throughout the planning and administration process
- Participate in client consultations, document executions, and post-death administration meetings
- Manage estate planning and administration matters efficiently while providing responsive, detail-oriented client service
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys on sophisticated planning and administration matters
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing 2+ years of estate planning and/or estate and trust administration experience
- Experience drafting estate planning and administration documents
- Working knowledge of Pennsylvania probate and trust law and applicable federal estate and tax laws
- Strong legal research, writing, organization, and client communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
