About the role

Buyer - Electronics Responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers.
Pay range: $35.00 to $42.00 hourly Source and procure materials, equipment, and services while meeting cost, quality, delivery, and production requirements. Research suppliers, obtain RFQs, evaluate pricing and capabilities, and negotiate/select qualified vendors. Create and manage purchase orders/contracts, including changes, expediting, and delivery follow-up. Verify material quality, quantity, cost, and supplier performance; coordinate with Accounting, Warehouse, and Quality. Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, productivity, and delivery. Procure metal fabrications, machined parts, PCBs, electronic components, and electronic assemblies. Interpret mechanical, PCB fabrication, and assembly drawings and communicate technical requirements with suppliers. Support supplier qualification, development, problem-solving, and compliance with company purchasing policies.
Key Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred. May be offset by tenure, term, working knowledge, etc. Experienced in procurement of PCB fabrications, electronic components, and firsthand experience with procurement of electronic assemblies. Knowledgeable in aspects of contract manufacturing as it relates to supplier interactions during procurement and production phases, basic understanding of printed circuit board fabrication and electronic assembly.
